North Devon & Cornwall Physio
Private Physiotherapy Home Visits in St Austell, Bodmin, Newquay and the surrounding areas

We are a private, mobile physiotherapy service bringing expert care straight to your door—whether at home or in a care home. We are registered with the Health and Care Professions Council and the Charted Society of Physiotherapy. Our aim is to use the latest evidence based techniques to help you regain independence and take control of your wellbeing. We work the same as a physiotherapist you would see in a clinic but we bring the clinic to you.

About North Devon and Cornwall Physio

North Devon and Cornwall Physio is a private mobile Physiotherapy service that works alongside individuals, carers and families to try and help improve someone’s independence.

This is done by providing community visits to treat someone from the comfort of their own home/care home.

We use a patient centred approach to meet the needs and goals of each person affected by short or long term conditions allowing individuals to take greater control of their health and wellbeing.

This is achieved by working together and setting collaborative joint goals allowing someone to take an active and purposeful role in the planning of their healthcare.

This service is open to all individuals aged 18 and over and a referral from your G.P is not necessary.

How We Help

We support adults (18+) with a wide range of needs through tailored, collaborative care, including:
•    Musculoskeletal conditions – affecting neck, back, shoulder/elbow, and hip/knee and ankle
•    Walking & Mobility – improve gait and confidence
•    Balance & Falls Prevention – reduce falls risk through strength and balance rehabilitation
•    Transfers – enhancing safety on stairs, in bed or during toileting
•    Post operative & Rehabilitation – elective or emergency surgery rehabilitation
•    Neurological conditions – e.g. stroke, Parkinson's disease
•    General aches, pains & deconditioning – after hospital discharge or prolonged immobility

We’ll visit as often as you need—with same day appointments available depending on capacity. No GP referral is required.

Mobility, Falls and Balance

"Evidence based exercise has been shown to reduce falls by up to 34%"

Falls are no laughing matter and can lead to a reduced quality of life, loss of independence and decreased mobility.

Help is available from your G.P, Care Direct and Physiotherapy. We can assess an individual’s risk of falling and develop a treatment plan and risk assessment to try and minimise this.

Exercise can improve strength and confidence leading to better functional outcomes such as walking, bed transfers, use of stairs and outdoor mobility. We are able to see clients as little or often as they like.
